It may save you time to run this factory diagnostic test before doing any further diagnosis.

Activate the Service Diagnostic Test Mode

1) Be sure the washer is plugged in with all the indicator lights off (Standby Mode) Wait 10 seconds after the initial power is applied before activating Service Diagnostic Test Mode. It is a good idea to reset the machine by unplugging it then plugging it back in.

2) Follow this sequence of movement using the cycle selector knob. All movements in the sequence must be executing within 6 seconds after the selector knob is reset. To Reset the selector rotate the knob one or more clicks counterclockwise. Do it 3 clicks to the left just to be sure.

  • Turn the knob clockwise one click and wait 1/2 second.

  • Rotate the knob clockwise one click and wait 1/2 second.

  • Turn the knob one more time clockwise and wait 1/2 second.

  • Now turn the knob counterclockwise one click and wait 1/2 second

  • Lastly, turn the knob clockwise one click.

To reiterate, That is three clicks to the right waiting 1/2 second in between each click then turn one click to the right and wait 1/2 second,a nd finally one more click to the right.

If you have done this correctly you will know that you have entered diagnostic mode because all the LEDs on the display (except Lid Lock) will be flashing at 1/2 second intervals.

If all the LEDs are not flashing go back and try the sequence again. you may have not completed the sequence within the 6 seconds or you may have turned the dial too fast between clicks
