5 Common problems with Dryers Solved in one day

Today was a busy day for me as an appliance repair technician. I had 5 dryers to repair, each with its own unique issue.

First up was a Samsung dryer that wasn't getting hot. After some troubleshooting, I discovered that the heating element had gone bad and needed to be replaced. This is a common issue with dryers, as the heating element is one of the most frequently used parts and can wear out over time. I replaced the element and the dryer was back to working properly.

Next, I tackled a Whirlpool dryer that wouldn't start. I found that the issue was a broken door switch. This switch tells the dryer when the door is closed and allows the machine to start. I replaced the switch and the dryer was good as new.

Then, I had an LG dryer that was making loud sounds. After some investigating, I found that the drum rollers were worn out and needed to be replaced. These rollers support the drum and keep it rotating smoothly. Replacing them solved the issue and the dryer was running quietly again.

After that, I had a Roper brand dryer with a broken door switch. Similar to the Whirlpool dryer, I replaced the door switch and the dryer was able to start properly.

Lastly, I fixed an Electrolux dryer that would not respond. I found out that the issue was a faulty control board, which I replaced and the dryer was back to normal.

As you can see, each dryer had its own unique problem, but all of them were relatively common issues that are easy to fix with the right knowledge and tools. This is just a typical day in the life of an appliance repair technician, and it's always satisfying to see the appliances working properly again and the happy customers.

As a reminder, it's always important to schedule regular maintenance on your appliances to keep them running smoothly and to catch any potential issues before they become bigger problems.
